Growing based on aeroponics.
Aeroponics is the latest discovery in farming, and consists of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil or an aggregate medium.
“Aeropia” makes use of a similar technology found in modern agriculture, but brings it to a smaller scale and more accessible for any user. Based on aeroponics, Aeropia can be seen as a micro lab where the right conditions for vegetables, herbs and plants meet each other.
The heart of the system is formed by a sonic plate which spreads micro-particles of water through the tubes. The mist then reaches the special humidity containers, where the plants are being held upright in a growth material. The roots are being fed with airy mist but they can also touch regular or nutrient enriched water. Light makes the circle turn around with the addressable RGB lighting system and therefore the system can also be placed or mounted in darker places of the home environment.
